Brentford medical team give Frank Onyeka the all clear to feature against Fulham on Monday

SUPER Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has been provided with a boost ahead of Nigeria's forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Guinea-Bissau after English Premier League side Brentford passed midfielder Frank Onyeka as fit.

Onyeka, 25, has not featured in the Premier League since November 12, when he helped Brentford secure an impressive 2-1 win away at Manchester City. Since then, he has been unavailable for selection for nine matches on the bounce but today, the Brentford medical team gave him the green light to return to action against Tosin Adarabioyo's Fulham on Monday night.

Brentford have confirmed on their official website, that midfielder Onyeka is in contention for the match at the Gtech Community Stadium on Monday.  Onyeka's potential return will be sweet music to the ears of Mr Peseiro, who is set to announce his squad for the home and away Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches with Guinea-Bissau.

In January, the manager visited Onyeka in London but could not monitor him at close quarters because he was recuperating from a hamstring injury. To get Onyeka into shape ahead of a return to first team action, Brentford drafted him into the B team for their Middlesex Senior Cup tie against Wealdstone at Grosvenor Vale on February 14.
