Brentford table a €12m offer for Bright Osayi-Samuel with a view to landing him this summer

ENGLISH Premier League side Brentford have made a €12m offer to Turkish club Fenerbahçe for the services of Super Eagles fullback Bright Osayi-Samuel with a view to acquiring him at the end of the season.

In Nigeria's last three internationals, Osayi-Samuel, 25, has stood out as the Eagles best player and his startling displays have caught the eye. A galloping fullback, he joined Fenerbahce from Queens Park Rangers in January 2021 and his recent good performances has attracted the attention of several English clubs.

Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are all believed to have tried to sign Osayi-Samuel over the last year, with Bournemouth even reported to have sent a private jet to Istanbul for him during the last January transfer window. However, due to their loan requirements, his transfer to Bournemouth was unsuccessful.

According to the Turkish media, Brentford have made €12m offer to acquire the defender's signature, meeting the price tag imposed on Osayi-Samuel by Fenerbahçe in January. Despite being a defender, Osayi-Samuel enjoys helping the offence and Brentford manager Thomas Frank, could use this assistance upfront.
