Brentford set to offer Nigeria-eligible Kevin Schade a five year contract in the summer

ENGLISH Premier League side Brentford are looking set to offer Freiburg's German international of Nigerian descent Kevin Schade a five year deal during the forthcoming summer transfer window.

Schade initially joined the Bees on loan on 4 January this year for the remainder of the 2022/23 season with an option to buy included in the deal.  Barring any new development, Brentford will make the deal permanent for a club-record fee in the summer, with Schade expected to put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the end of the season.

Brentford saw off competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool to sign the exciting winger who can also play as a centre forward. Since his arrival in England, the 21-year-old has appeared in 12 matches across all competitions for Brentford and has bagged an assist, although he is yet to get on the scoresheet.

Italian transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, said Brentford have decided to make Schade's deal permanent for a fee of €24m. Schade, who is provisionally cap-tied to his country of birth Germany, made his senior debut in a friendly against Peru last month but remains eligible to wear the colours of Nigeria.
