Nigerian youngsters Callum Olusesi and Damola Ajayi feature for Spurs as they win youth FA Cup

ENGLISH Premier league giants Tottenham Hotspur have won the U17 Premier League Cup thrashing Nottingham Forest by a whopping a 5-1 at the City Ground last night with two Nigerian youngsters in their squad.

In a showpiece game that highlighted the future of English football, schoolboys Callum Olusesi and Damola Ajayi, who is in the first year of his scholarship at Spurs, were named in the starting line-up by manager Stuart Lewis. Both of the teenagers are of Nigerian extraction and could well end up playing for the Super Eagles at senior level when the time comes.

Last night, Forest took the lead in the 12th minute when Danny Anisjko picked up the ball from the edge of the box and curled in a wonderful strike into the bottom right hand corner. However, the lead lasted only two minutes as Oliver Irow restored parity after the ball was laid into his path by Olusesi.

With the home team down to ten men, Tottenham made their numerical advantage count as Moore did well to get into the box and finished expertly.  Despite a resolute defensive performance the Young Reds, Spurs were able to extend their lead with 16 minutes left on the clock when Tyrese Hall made no mistake from close range.

Moore grabbed his second of the game in the 77th minute and Hall wrapped up the scoring in the 90th minute. Olusesi has played non-binding games for England at U16 level, while Ajayi is uncapped and no doubt, the Nigerian Football Federation will be monitoring the progress of both youngsters.
