Tinubu congratulates Abel Aboh over his recent appointment to board of Scottish AI agency

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has heralded Nigerian-born British Artificial Intelligence expert Abel Aboh who was recently appointed to the board of director of the Data Lab Innovation Centre in Scotland.⁣

Mr Aboh, a graduate of Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow and the University of Lincoln, is among the 20 new board members who will sit on the centre’s Governance, Innovation and Education Advisory Boards for three years. Established in 2014, the Data Lab strengthens the board to propel Scotland’s data and AI potential.

Among other things, the Lab mission is to help Scotland maximise value from data and lead the world to a data-powered future.  While praising Mr Aboh for making Nigeria proud on a global stage in the field of Artificial Intelligence,  President Tinubu noted his impressive professional achievement and how his expertise and new appointment represent an important step in the agency’s efforts in enhancing Scotland’s data and AI potential.⁣

President Tinubu said: “I congratulate Abel Aboh for his appointment as a board member of the Data Lab Innovation Centre in Scotland, United Kingdom.  The success story of Aboh will certainly motivate many Nigerian young people in the technology space to achieve more excellence. ⁣

According to President Tinubu, Artificial Intelligence, data science and machine learning will take the centre stage in the new global knowledge economy.
