ENGLISH Premier League sides Brentford and Bournemouth have both expressed an interest in signing Super Eagles fullback Bright Osayi-Samuel from Turkish side Fenerbahce during the current transfer window.
Osayi-Samuel, 25, made 38 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahce who won the Turkish Cup and finished the Super Lig as runners-up last season. He, however, wants to return to England next season and several clubs have already expressed an interest in signing the right fullback.
Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers are reported to have tabled a £9m offer for the defender already but it appears that the player would rather ply his trade in England. A galloping fullback, he joined Fenerbahce from Queens Park Rangers (QPR) in January 2021 and his recent good performances has attracted the attention of several English clubs.
“I think everyone knows that my ambition is to play English football, to play in the Premier League. No disrespect, Fenerbahce have done some much for me in Turkey but my ambition is to play in the Premier League, so when I feel that the time is the right time for me to go, I will take it, ” Osayi-Samuel said.
Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are all believed to have tried to sign Osayi-Samuel over the last year, with Bournemouth even reported to have sent a private jet to Istanbul for him during the last January transfer window. However, due to their loan requirements, his transfer to Bournemouth was unsuccessful.
