Seed of Life Disciples Global Ministry clergyman tells Nigerians to stop moaning about Buhari as God picked him

SEED of Life Disciples Global Ministry clergyman Reverend Raphael Ogunkunle has called on critics of President Muhammadu Buhari to keep quiet and stop complaining as God made him Nigeria's leader.

Reverend Ogunkunle, whose church is based in Kaduna, stated that Nigerians should rather thank God for giving the country the former head of state as their president.  He made the assertion on Sunday in Kaduna during the ministry’s 10th anniversary thanksgiving service, pointing out that the country is faced with all kinds of challenges because of the negative things Nigerians say about the nation.

“I will not condemn the government because it is what we deserve that God has given us, say positive things and it will attract positive things, that way, we get better result. If we are good and wish well for our country, Nigeria will be good, but if we are bad and continue to pray for negative things, we will continue to experience negative things,” Reverend Ogunkunle said.

On the forthcoming 2019 elections, the clergyman said that Nigerians should desist from negative utterances but pray for peaceful and fair polls. President Buhari will be a candidate in next year's elections, where he is expected to be the ruling All Progressives Congress candidate.

In the run-up to the polls, however, President Buhari has been under pressure to stand down at the end of his first term next February as he has failed the nation. Since President Buhari assumed office in 2015, insecurity has grown, the economy went into recession and the war against corruption has been criticised as being lopsided.
