Torino poised to buy Super eagles fullback Ola Aina from Chelsea for €10m this summer

SUPER Eagles fullback Ola Aina look set to join Italian side Torino permanently at the end of the season after his parent Chelsea appears to have agreed to a €10m transfer deal following a soar in his valuation.

Still technically a Chelsea player, Aina, 22, joined Torino in Serie A at the start of a season when he was still only valued at €600,000. However, his scintillating performances in Italy have led to his value soaring as not only has he become a Torino regular but he frequently makes the Serie A Team of the Week.

With Torino now valuing him at €10m, Chelsea are apparently willing to sell the player as the deal is seen as mutually acceptable to both clubs. Torino coach, Walter Mazzarri, who handled fellow Super Eagles Odion Ighalo and Isaac Success for a while at Watford, has decided that the club will take up the €10m option to buy Aina this summer.

Aina has shone like a thousand stars this season, scoring one goal and producing an assist in 22 Serie A appearances for Torino. Known as the Granata, Torino has a history of having Nigerian players in its ranks, as in the past, Nnamdi Oduamadi and Joel Obi have both had stints with the club.
