Paedophile Reverend Chizemdere says evil spirit led him to defile teenage boys and infect them with HIV

JESUS Intervention Household Ministry founded Reverend Ezuma Chizemdere has claimed that it was an evil spirit which entered him and made him sexually abuse and infecting minors with the HIV virus.

Last week, Reverend Chizemdere, whose church is located in the Ejigbo area of Lagos, was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command after being at large for three months. Police spokesman Bala Elkana, said that on January 21, a case of defilement of a minor was reported by a good Samaritan at Ejigbo Police Station and investigations revealed that the suspect had lured about 15 young boys into his residence, where he sexually molested them.

According to the police, one Ikem Shedrack, 16, was one of the victims and was infected by the reverend around October 2018. Mr Elkana added that the suspect knew he was HIV positive but was deliberately infecting the innocent teenagers.

Blaming his indulgence on an evil spirit, Reverend Chizemdere admitted culpability, begging to be forgiven. Apart from affecting young boys, he also infected his late wife with the HIV virus, leading to her untimely death.

Reverend Chizemdere's wife had packed out of the house when she discovered what he was into but after entreaties from her husband, church members and both families, she returned home, only to pack out again on discovering that her husband was HIV positive. However, she passed on a few months after returning to her husband, leaving behind two children.

Pleading for forgiveness, Reverend Chizemdere said: “This is the work of evil spirit, with the aim to destroy me because I have genuine gifts from God. Whenever the evil force comes on me, I would be helpless until I have accomplished its mission.”

He was alleged to have been taking teenage boys, between 15 and 16 years old, to his apartment, where he penetrated them through the anus, at the end of which he would give each of the boys N2,000.

But the bubble burst after one of the boys reported to his parents, who subsequently contacted policemen at Ejigbo.  Some residents revealed that the reverend usually washed six bed sheets daily whenever he brings in little children, suspected to be his sex partners home to help cover his tracks.
