Andy Ruiz says Anthony Joshua is not a good fighter and he will beat him again when they meet

WORLD heavyweight boxing champion Andy Ruiz has described Anthony Joshua as a bad boxer who only runs around in the ring and has boasted that he will beat him again when they meet later this year.

In an upset that shocked the boxing world, Joshua got knocked to the canvass four times during the course of the fight on June 1, forcing the referee to end matters in the seventh round.  In a development that completely shook up the heavyweight scene, Joshua lost the World Boxing Association, World Boxing Organisation, International Boxing Organisation and International Boxing Federation titles to the lowly-rated Ruiz.

Immediately after the shock loss, Joshua's promoted Eddie Hearn, triggered the rematch clause in their contract and the two boxers are set to clash again in either November or December. Ruiz says he is confident of winning the rematch, however, saying that when they clash in London, what will happen will be a repeat of what took place in New York.

Ruiz said: “You know what, I think Eddie Hearn or his people are trying to get something out there about why he lost like that but he fought a hungry guy. I was hungry, I was mentally focused for that fight and I did not want to lose in front of my family or get beat up in front of my family.

“For the rematch it’s going to be the same, man and I’m going to be even more prepared and more ready, as I know his flaws and I can do a lot better. I think the only thing he can do is just run around as he’s not good at boxing and he’s not a good boxer."

For the rematch, Ruiz is asking for a whopping £50m as he now holds all the four belts. For the first fight, it is believed Ruiz got just £5m, while Joshua is thought to have got £20m for the clash in New York's Madison Square Garden.
