Super Eagles storm Benin City as Onyekuru is set to tie the know with his heartthrob

MEMBERS of the Super Eagles squad have descended on the Edo State capital Benin for the wedding of Everton striker Henry Onyekuru who is due to tie the knot with his longtime heartthrob Esty tomorrow.

Onyekuru, 22, joined Everton from Belgian side Eupen at the start of the 2017/18 season and was immediately sent out on loan to Anderlecht. He came to prominence after finishing the 2016/17 season as joint top-scorer in the Belgian Juliper League with 22 goals in 38 games, sparking off a frenzy for his signature.

Due to UK work permit issues, Onyekuru is unable to play in England so his loan spell with Anderlecht was followed by him joining Turkish giants Galatasary last season. Onyekuru was in the Nigerian squad during the recent African Cup of Nations in Egypt but was only used as a substitute in one of the seven matches the Super Eagles played.

With the 2019/20 season about to begin, Onyekuru is uncertain where he will be playing as Galatasary want to have him on loan for another year but Everton have told the Turkish giants that if they want the player, they must purchase him outright for €15m. Despite these professional uncertainties, Onyekuru is getting on with his private life and is due to marry Esty, the mother of his one-year-old son tomorrow.

Onyekuru moved into his new mansion in Lekki, in Lagos in June. John Ogu, Oghenekaro Etebo, Kenneth Omeruo, Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa are some of the players who have confirmed their attendance.
