Anambra pentecostal pastor flees after stabbing his mother to death and leaving her in a pool of her own blood

PENTECOSTAL clergyman Pastor Nwabueze Anaka has fled from his church and home in Anambra State after stabbing his mother to death at Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the state.

 

Witnesses said that the pastor escaped after the incident, leaving the corpse of his mother in a pool of her blood. According to Police Superintendant Haruna, a spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, his men rushed to the scene after the incident and took the body of Mrs Grace Anaka to the hospital where she was certified dead before her body was deposited in a morgue.

 

Mr Haruna added:  “There was a report at Oraifite Division at about 12 pm that one Nwabueze Anaka aged about 30yrs of Umunakwa Oraifite allegedly stabbed his mother one Grace Anaka aged about 50 years with a dagger and took to flight. Police detectives attached to the division visited the scene, photographed the body and took the victim to the hospital where she was certified dead by the medical doctor after which corpse was deposited at the morgue.

 

He added that the circumstances surrounding the incident were yet to be ascertained but said the complainants alleged that the suspect was having some mental challenges. According to the police, the case is under investigation and efforts are being intensified to apprehend the fleeing suspect in order to bring him to justice.
