Chelsea finally decide to offload Victor Moses telling him he no longer has any future at the club

FORMER Super Eagles winger Victor Moses has been told by English Premier League giants Chelsea that he no longer has a future at the club and should start searching for another team to join as from next season.

Moses, 29, joined Italian side Inter Milan on loan until the end of the current season with the club having the option of making the switch permanent. Currently a Chelsea player, Moses was loaned out to Turkish side Fernebahce last January and after a season in Turkey left to play in Italy who used to be his manager at Chelsea.

Inter manager Antonio Conte, coached Moses when they were both together at Chelsea uses him as a right wingback, playing on a 3-5-2 formation. A fee of €10m (£8.5m) has been mooted as the figure which Inter will have to pay if they wish to acquire the player on a permanent basis.

It had been mooted that Chelsea may recall Moses at the end of the current campaign interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic but manager Frank Lampard has decided to part ways with the winger. Lampard has told Moses along with Tiemoue Bakayoko, Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta, Danny Drinkwater and Michy Batshuayi that they have no longer have a future at the club.

Chelsea us now prepared to accept bids for all six players just to get them off its huge wage bill, with Inter looking like Moses' most likely destination. This may mean that Chelsea have to wave the £8.5m fee they were expecting for the player.

Inter and Chelsea could complete a deal for half of that price just so the transfer can take place. After the 2018 World Cup, Moses retired from international football, saying he wanted to concentrate on his club career.
