10 state governments who need to woo investors to build hydro-electric power plants with adjoining transmission facilities that can distribute at least 1,000MW of power

(1) Kogi - At the River Niger/Benue confluence at Lokoja
(2) Ogun - Along the Ogun River on the outskirts of Abeokuta
(3) Kaduna - At the Matsirga Waterfalls
(4) Anambra - On the Anambra River at Agulu
(5) Adamawa - Along the River Benue at Yola
(6) Delta - On the banks of the River Niger at Illah
(7) Osun - Along the River Osun at Ede
(8) Taraba - Along the River Donga at Donga town
(9) Sokoto - At Bakolori along River Sokoto
(10) Yobe - At Geidam along the River Yobe

If these are augmented by gas-fired plants in the Niger Delta, solar farms in the northeast and northwest and a costal wind farm along our Atlantic coastline, we will easily generate the 50,000MW required. However, the whole project will be pointless unless each facility comes with an accompanying transmission plant.
