Rodgers says Ndidi would be worth £150m were he and midfield partner Tielemans one player

LEICESTER City manager Brendan Rodgers has valued Super Eagles anchorman Wilfred Ndidi at £150m stating that were he and his midfield partner Belgian Youri Tielemans one player they would at least cost that much.

Speaking ahead of today's league clash against Chelsea at the King Power Stadium, Mr Rodgers said the two midfielders complement each other. He added that having both in his team is a great asset as Ndidi does most of the dirty work, while Tielemans finds his attack-minded teammates with passes.

Mr Rodgers said: "They play different roles and this is the beauty of this league, as there’s so much diversity in terms of styles you play against and systems too. You have to have flexibility but those two really complement each other.

"Wilf had a great game the other night in a high-intensity game with lots of duels, where you’ve got to win your headers, got to be strong, got to be aggressive and have got to cover ground. Youri does that too but then Ndidi can pass it to Youri and he can play the forward passes.

"There’s a great combination there between the two. If you can get that in one player, he’s probably worth £150m. They both have their own strengths and they complement each other very well."

Of the five Premier League matches Ndidi and Tielemans have started together as a double pivot this season, Leicester City are unbeaten, winning four matches and drawing against Manchester United. Leicester currently sir third in the Premier league with 35 points but a win today would see the team top the table.
