APC says Buhari is now re-energised and ready to work following his medical treatment in the UK

ALL Progressive Congress (APC) party leaders have expressed confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari is now re-energised following his recent medical treatment in the UK and is raring to go ahead with the implementation of his programmes.

This week, President Buhari returned from a two week medical holiday in the UK where he went to consult with his doctors. According to presidency officials, the president only went for a routine medical check-up and they dismissed suggestions that he was suffering from some serious ailment.

During President Buhari's stay in the UK, several diaspora groups organised protests outside Abuja House, the official residence of the high commissioner, insisting that he should receive medical treatment. However, President Buhari defied such protests and only returned to Nigeria yesterday at the end of his treatment.

John Akpanudoedehe, the national secretary of the APC's caretaker and extra-ordinary convention planning committee, said the party was highly elated at the return of President Buhari. He added that the president is now re-energised and recommitted to executing the party’s lofty developmental objectives after his medical trip abroad.

Mr Akpanudoedehe said:  “Mr president is undoubtedly re-energised and recommitted to executing the lofty developmental objectives of the APC-led administration." He prayed for President Buhari’s continued good health and wisdom to pilot the nation’s affairs and to achieve the APC-led government Next Level agenda to uplift Nigerians.
