Soludo unveils Contract with Ndi Anambra in which he promises to create 130,00 jobs annually

FORMER Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor Professor Charles Soludo had unveiled a Contact with Ndi Anambra manifesto in which he has promised to create 130,000 jobs a year as part of a major industrialisation programme.

 

Anambrans go to the polls to elect a new governor on November 6 and Professor Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (Apga) candidates appears to be the frontrunner. Over the last week, Professor Soludo has unveiled his manifesto programme titled Contract with Indi Anambra, which involves an ambitious programme to create a N5bn ($12.17m) venture capital fund annually to support businesses and young entrepreneurs.

 

Addressing party members, he added that the plan is to produce 1,000 youth millionaires every year and 130,000 private sector jobs annually. Professor Soludo added that his government will make Anambra an industrial, technology and entertainment hub by partnering with foreign companies to establish manufacturing companies.

 

Over the last week, Professor Soludo has taken this message to both Oyo and Dunukofia local government areas of the state, where the plans have been well received. Professor Soludo was accompanied by his wife, Nonye, his deputy gubernatorial candidate Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim and the director-general of the Apga campaign committee and secretary to the Anambra State government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu.
