One of the abducted passengers in the Kaduna-Abuja train gives birth in captivity

ONE of the two pregnant female passengers who were among the over 100 passengers abducted by armed hoodlums during the March 28 attack on an Abuja-Kaduna train has given birth to a baby in the terrorists’ den.

Dependable security sources said the bandits carried out the violent attack on the train just to abduct passengers who could be used to bargain for the release of their commanders and sponsors, who are currently in detention. Apparently,  the arrest of these commanders had severely hampered the deadly activities of the bandits who are collaborating with Boko Haram terrorists to unleash mayhem across the country.

During the attack, the terrorists abducted two female passengers, one of whom was eight months pregnant. A relation of the female passenger who pleaded for anonymity said that she gave birth last weekend in the terrorists’ enclave.

He added: “They contacted us and broke the news to us that she gave birth at the weekend. Even though, they did not tell us whether it was a boy or a girl.

“The woman who was reportedly eight months pregnant at the time of the attack, gave birth safely after the terrorists were said to have invited a medical personnel to attend to her. The state of health of the baby is however unknown bit she gave birth with the aid of doctors brought in by the terrorists."
