Crystal Palace sign Nigerian teenage leftback Kelvin Agho and send him out on loan

ENGLISH Premier league side Crystal Palace has signed up Nigerian teenage leftback Kelvin Agho from the Hypebuzz Academy in Abuja and sent him to go and join their youth academy with long-term plans to get him into their senior team.

Agho officially joined Palace on September 1 2022 and has immediately been sent out on loan to ŠTK 1914 Šamorín in Slovakia for the remainder of the season. He grew up in Abuja, Nigeria and was a part of the Hypebuzz Academy for several years, getting a national call up from there.

In 2019, Agho was invited to Nigeria's U15 national team known as Future Eagles, where he participated in the International Dream Cup for U16 teams that took place in Japan. He was part of a Nigerian contingent made up of 18 players and eight officials, who had previously won a silver medal at the third African Youth Games in Algiers in the summer of 2018.

He was later promoted to the Nigerian U17 team the Golden Eaglets. Agho narrowly missed out on participating in the U17 World Cup in Brazil that took place later that year, where the Golden Eaglets got to the second round.
