Super Eagles to play pre-World Cup friendly against Costa Rica on November 10 in San Jose

NIGERIAN Football Federation (NFF) officials have managed to secure a friendly match for the Super Eagles against World Cup bound Costa Rica ay San Jose Stadium in the US on November 10.

 

Having missed out on the World Cup, Nigeria has had to made do with several high profile friendly games as new coach Jose Peseiro seeks to rebuild the team. Last week, the team played Algeria in a high pressured game in front of a packed crowd in the Mediterranean city of Oran.

 

On November 7, the Eagles will fly to Lisbon to face Portugal, who will use the game as a final warm-up match before flying to Qatar. From the Estadio De Jose Alvalade in Lisbon, the Eagles will then fly to San Jose in California to take in the Costa Ricans, who will be using the game as a final tune-up before jetting out to Qatar.

 

Costa Rica which is one of the four North and Central American countries that will play in Qatar alongside Canada, Mexico and the US. They have a very tough World Cup campaign having been grouped with Germany, Spain and Japan in Group E.
