MEMBERS of the Presidential Taskforce on the Apapa Traffic Gridlock has been given two extra weeks to resolve the problem by the federal government after they failed to meet the earlier deadline given to them.

Ekiti man sentenced to six month in prison for stealing basket of kolanuts worth N10,000

EKITI Magistrates Court has sentenced 36-year-old Ige Omotosho to six months imprisonment without the option of a fine for stealing a basket of kolanuts valued at N10,000 ($27.50).

 

Mr Omotosho, whose address was not provided, allegedly committed the offence on June 7 at about 5pm at Ologbara-Gbara farm in Iyin-Ekiti. Prosecutor, Sergeant Olubu Apata, told the court that the convict went to the farm of Mr Obalore Ogunjemilua and stole a bag of kolanuts valued at N10,000.
